The Kratt Brothers journey to Botswana to prowl with a pride of Africa’s largest predator -- the lion. They know they’re close when they stumble upon the remains of a young elephant being mourned by one of its kind. This is no ordinary pride. The pride is large, the pride is powerful, and the pride is regularly killing elephants. How do they do it? How do these lions work together to prey upon the world’s largest land mammal? The brothers stick with the pride, day and night, to find out. After the Kratts spend a few nights witnessing lion breeding behavior, the pride is ready to hunt again. Through weeks of living with the lions and witnessing several hunts, Chris and Martin begin to understand the secrets to this lion pride’s hunting strategy. Dropped off in the remote wilderness of the Katmai Peninsula, where the Kratt Brothers live for three weeks with the Brown Bears the largest carnivore in America. Chris and Martin get caught in the middle of a bear fight and witness a murderous male bear chasing down a mother & cubs. They dig for clams and eat protein-rich sedge just like the bears do. Through their increasing understanding of what it’s like to be a bear, the Kratt Brothers discover a new depth to bears beyond the legendary fierceness and killer mystique revealing the peaceful side of these gentle creatures of explosive power.
